What are Duels?

Duels are where traders settle the score, Wasteland-style. Think Player-versus-Player (PvP) meets trading, and you’re on the right track. Whether you're a Vaultie, Wastelander, Brotherhood recruit, or lone Scavenger, the arena is open for anyone ready to put their caps where it counts. Prove your skill, rise to the top, and claim the spoils in this high-stakes trading battleground.

Duels TL;DR: Enter PvP trading battles with USDC, leverage your skills, and win big. Set your terms, pay your buy-in, and dominate the leaderboard. Winner takes the pot.

How to Create, Join and Compete in a Duel

“Plan your assault carefully, Vault Dweller.”

Step 1: Create Duel 👉 Navigate to the Duel Lobby and choose your battleground. Click on + Create Duel to open the modal

For each duel you can adjust the following game settings

• Market: Currently only ETH/USD available but more to come soon!

• Collateral Amount (USDC): Determines the max collateral available for the duel, think of this like each participant's starting balance. No min or max limits!

• Start Time (Local): Select the time you want your duel to start

• Duration: Select the duration of your duel, can be anywhere from 1 hour up to 7 days

• Buy In Amount (USDC): Select the buy-in for each participant, with winner takes all at the end of the duel (minus a small percentage that goes back to the project)

• Min Participants: Select the minimum number of participants that must join the duel prior to the start time for the duel to become active. Anything above 1 works here!

• Max Participants: Select the maximum number of participants that can join the duel.

Once you're happy with your settings just click Create Duel to start the fun!

Step 2: Join Duel - Pay Your Buy-in and Deposit Collateral 💰 Pay the total in USDC to enter the Duel. Click Join Duel, sign the transaction and you're in!

Step 3: Prepare for Battle ⏳While waiting for the duel to start you will see a card like this on the My Duels page

Here you'll see all the duel info. Click on View Duel to get to the following page

This will show you all the players currently registered that have deposited their collateral and wager. You can also at any time click on the available balance amount to open the withdraw collateral modal which allows you to withdraw any amount of collateral up to the max amount. Keep in mind, this will give you less trading power, so only do so if you really need that USDC!

Note: the wager buy-in is not withdrawable.

Step 4: Let the Duel Commence

⚔️ When the Duel begins

• For each trade enter your collateral and leverage (utilizing the slider) to set position size. Then Long/Short, and good luck.

• Track current position and trade history for the duel in the table at the bottom of the page.

• Use your skills to maximize your realized PnL (fees not counted).

Don't forget to trash talk your competition with an in-game troll box as well as instilling fear in your future competitors with a global chat as well 👑

Step 5: Watch Your Health Bar 📊 Your health bar reflects your standing on the leaderboard:

• Positive PnL boosts your health.

• Losses (after fees) reduce it.

Step 6: Claim Victory and Withdraw Funds 🏆 When the time runs out, whether you win or lose, you can withdraw your leftover collateral after the Duel.

• The trader with the highest health bar (largest realized PnL) wins the Duel.

• Winner receives 95% of the pot in USDC which is automatically transferred to the winners wallet

• Remaining collateral is returned to all participants. Here you can also close out of any open positions.
